I'm so glad you are visiting my blog. I specialize in imagery for artisans, home sellers and event managers but also love to do individual and family portraits. Perhaps we'll work together sometime.
A friend said why "Waters Edge? You don't live near the water." Well, Madison is built around four lakes, I lived many years a block from Lake Michigan in Milwaukee and when I was three, crossed the Pacific on an ocean liner to Australia. So I guess being at the waters edge is intimately familiar.
There's a word from the Illawara aboriginal tribe in Australia that means hard place by the waters edge - Wollongong. It's actually pronounced Wool-ongong and is too hard to type and too unfamiliar sounding to North American ears, so Waters Edge Photography it is.
Lastly, and I promise other posts will be much shorter, I know that in nature it is often the edges where growth takes place, where the change is, where the adventure is. As an image maker at Waters Edge Photography, I like to stand at the edge of combining the strength of solid performance with the flow of an adventurous spirit.
My intention is to highlight information about ways and places for artisans to show their work, share tips on real estate photography and cast some light on the good works people volunteer to do. Now that will be an adventure!
